GEORGE OTIS JR.

George Otis, Jr. is the founder and president of The Sentinel Group, a Seattle-based Christian research, media, and training agency dedicated to helping revival-hungry communities discover the pathway to societal transformation.

Best known as the producer of the award-winning Transformations documentaries, a series that has been viewed by an estimated 300 million people in 175 nations, George has also authored six books, and is a frequent speaker at international conferences and symposia.

George has also served as chairman of the International Fellowship of Transformation Partners, and is the chief architect of a comprehensive revival preparation and maintenance process called The Journey to Transformation.

In years past, George has served in leadership capacities with Youth With A Mission, the Lausanne Committee for World Evangelization, and the AD 2000 & Beyond Movement. He has also been engaged as an advisor to The Call, Aglow International, and the ASK Prayer Network.

Mr. Otis has traveled to more than 110 nations, and presently lives in Washington State.

Overview of the NPS... What is the National Prayer Summit?

The National Prayer Summit is a gathering of the FMCUSA to seek God for the sustained passion and practice of intercessory prayer for local, regional, national and global transformation. We believe that gathering the body in an “upper room” fashion is an essential part of seeing the realization of this mission. As we join in unity, we are strengthened and encouraged as a people. From Thursday evening through Saturday at noon, we will worship, pray, learn, engage and plan. This year’s Summit will be unlike any other! Will you join us?

Thursday, 2/22

5:00 pm – Check-In begins (dinner on your own)

7:00 pm, Evening General Session

Friday, 2/23

7:45am – Building open and late check-in (breakfast on your own)

8:30am – Morning Sessions Begin.

Noon – Lunch (provided for all registrants at SAFMC)

1:00pm – Afternoon Teaching Tracks (three to choose from)

5:30pm – Supper (provided on site for all registrants at SAFMC).

7:00pm – Evening Session

Saturday, 2/24

7:45am – Building open (breakfast on your own)

8:30am – Morning Sessions

11:45am – Depart for Home (lunch on your own as you depart)

Childcare Available!

CHILDCARE IS AVAILABLE for ages birth to 5 years of age during the following NPS events: * Thursday evening worship @6:45pm-8:30pm * Friday morning sessions (8:15 am until lunch – no childcare during lunch) * Friday afternoon sessions (1:00pm until dinner – no childcare during dinner) * Friday evening worship @7pm-8:30pm * Saturday morning sessions (8:15am until 11:30am) PLEASE NOTE: Meals are not provided for children due to food allergy issues and cost. Parents are kindly asked to bring a sack lunch and/or dinner, or make other necessary provision for your child(ren) at meal times. Children must be picked up by 8:30pm, even if the evening service has not fully concluded, and promptly prior to meal times. Please kindly adhere to those schedules to honor our childcare providers. IF YOU CHECK YES TO USING CHILDCARE AT THE NATIONAL PRAYER SUMMIT, YOU AGREE TO THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS: * I understand that meals are NOT provided for my child(ren) and I will make provision for them. * I understand that pick times are 8:30pm each evening, and promptly prior to meal times, and I agree to adhere to these times, even if the session or service has not officially concluded. * I understand that children exhibiting contagious illness symptoms may not be allowed access to childcare. Prepare for the NPS - The Prayer Imaginarium

As we prepare for the National Prayer Summit on Feb 22-24 at Spring Arbor FMC in Spring Arbor, MI, we, as well as, our churches, small groups, and individuals are invited to experience the Prayer Imaginarium. What is it? • A guided video with scriptural teaching and practical ways to engage in a deeper experience of intercessory prayer. • A unique way to activate your imagination to pray from “what is” to “what can be” for your church, community and our region. • An interactive experience to connect with God’s heart and the immeasurably more than we can ask or imagine. For those who want to participate, just call the Spring Arbor FMC at 517-750-2400 to schedule your visit. The Prayer Imaginarium will be set up from Jan 22 through Feb 24. Feel free to contact Brett and Barb Heintzman, National Prayer Summit Coordinators at 716-785-1190 with questions you may have. A flyer is attached for sharing with your church and small groups.

Is there a cost to attend?

No registration fee is charged. Materials and two meals are provided. Your only cost is travel and lodging.

What can I expect?

The NPS is both teaching and practical application. This year there will be multiple tracks for people with prayer experiences across the whole spectrum, from new disciples to deep intercession.

How do I register?

Registration will open October 1st and will be available on the NPM website at npmfmc.org.

Who should attend?

This Summit is for the whole church. In line with the call of our Bishops to revitalization, renewal and recalibration, prayer is key and everyone will benefit from the Summit.
